Product information "Jalapeno chili red"
also: gordes chili, huachingo chili
Description:
The classic from Mexico! Jalapeno chilies are named after the Mexican city of Jalapa. The fruity pods have a slight heat and are used in their country of origin like sweet peppers. They are stuffed, baked or cooked in sauces and transmit an aroma that is reminiscent of sweet peppers - only hotter and fruitier. The fully ripe red variety looks more dangerous. Green jalapenos, however, are spicier.
The same variety also exists in smoked form. They then bear the nickname chipotle.
