Penja pepper, known for its small berries, is grown in the highlands of Cameroon at the foot of Mount Cameroon. The fertile volcanic soil gives this red Penja pepper a robust, fruity flavor with hints of eucalyptus and a pronounced heat. The high altitude of the growing region ensures that the berries are very small. An ideal pepper for seasoning stir-fries, stews, beans, and green vegetables.
